The Clubhouse at DC Ranch
For the remodel of the DC Ranch Clubhouse, our vision wasn’t to reinvent the space, but to bring it back to the charm and character that made members fall in love with it in the first place. Although the clubhouse had long been considered an iconic gathering place, it had become surprisingly underutilized. Our goal was to change that by honoring its history while elevating its functionality.
We expanded the clubhouse by nearly 2,000 square feet, thoughtfully integrating the addition so the beloved exterior — the hallmark of DC Ranch — remained seemingly untouched. Working closely with SB Design, we embraced the hacienda-inspired, Southwestern aesthetic that defines the community. Inside, exposed timber beams, a dramatic floor-to-ceiling brick fireplace, layered textiles, cow‑print accents, and a mix of dark and light wood tones create a warm, elevated environment. The interplay of patterns and textures gives the space a collected, lived-in feel that’s both refined and inviting.
Even with a footprint approaching 32,000 square feet, the clubhouse maintains an intimate, welcoming atmosphere. We spent time studying the surrounding area, observing where members gather, dine, and unwind, ensuring the redesign would feel like a natural extension of their daily lives. The result is a timeless blend of rustic elegance and modern comfort — a clubhouse that feels familiar yet refreshed, and one that members and visitors will return to again and again.
