Team Member Spotlight: Sasha Tesanovic Joins PHX as a Full-Time Associate

We are thrilled to share that we have officially welcomed Sasha Tesanovic on board at PHX as a full-time Associate.

Aleksandra (Sasha) Tesanovic has been with PHX Architecture since 2017 when she was interning with us while earning her Master’s in Architecture at Arizona State University. Now a full-time Architectural Associate I, Sasha works on both the residential and hospitality sides of our firm.

Born and raised in Eastern Sarajevo, Sasha’s experience living in the Yugoslavian war as a child inspired her interest in Architecture at a very young age. Influenced by the devastation of her community and the cities around her, she realized the positive impact of Architecture and how it can restore and rebuild a community. In Sasha’s words – architecture symbolizes power and safety, and ultimately new beginnings.

Since beginning her career in Architecture Sasha has also discovered her passion for creating, writing, making collages and love of artistic expression. Sasha believes the study of Architecture is the study of everything, and that is the point of view and perspective she approaches every single project she works on at PHX.

During her time studying at Arizona State University Sasha was nominated for design excellence in two separate studios and has also become an intricate player in every project she has worked at our firm. As she continues her career with PHX, Sasha hopes to make an impact on our firm with her passion towards artistic ventures, design, and creating meaningful connections.

Outside of the office, Sasha enjoys playing violin, tennis, learning about history, and playing with her dog, Svarog.
