In The Press: Modern Luxury Pub Talks, Phoenix Home & Garden Interview on Nick Newberry

We started 2022 with continued media coverage, similar to how we wrapped 2021. We are thrilled to share with you all the great press that our firm received over the past two months – including the first ever Pub Talks by Modern Luxury Scottsdale video feature as well as a mention in the recent Phoenix Home & Garden feature on Nick Newberry. Pub Talks by Modern Luxury Scottsdale

If you follow our firm on Instagram you probably saw several snippets of this video feature – featuring firm President, Erik B. Peterson in a candid interview with Publisher, Lauren Sturman. We were approached by Modern Luxury to be featured in their first ever “Pub Talks” segment. A unique video feature that is printed in the physical print magazine and shared via a QR code with readers – one of the first of its kind. The video segment was filmed at our recently completed hospitality project – the re-imagined Arizona Biltmore. During the segment Erik talks about PHX, our firm’s 20th Anniversary, our vision for the design of the Biltmore as well as his overarching design approach to any project – which is one of the many things that sets PHX apart from other firms.

Phoenix Home & Garden Feature On Nick Newberry 

In early January – PHX and Erik were approached to be interviewed for an upcoming print feature on Architectural Renderer – Nick Newberry, who was the Valley’s go-to architectural illustrator for more than four decades. Erik was chosen to be interviewed due to his experience early on in Nick and his own career – where Nick drew a rendering on a Napkin that ended up getting approved by the client. Erik’s featured quote below:

 “Nick could capture the essence of a design with a few strokes of the pen,” says architect Erik Peterson. Newberry drew this rendering of a Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired home that Peterson had sketched on a napkin. The design was approved by the client with minimal changes.” – Erik B. It was a great start to the year, press wise and the features are set to keep on coming! With many regional and national features coming up later this Spring.
