We accepted the award on September 20th at the 10th anniversary of The International and Architecture Awards Grand Reception. More than 200 design companies from around the world submitted for consideration, and over 80,000 votes were collected. The awards were hosted by leading interior design magazine design et al, and only the best in design from across the globe are honored.

Red Rock Modern Residence, Sedona, AZ
International Design and Architecture Awards: Luxury Residence Global
This 7,500 square foot modern home was designed to sit delicately on the site and nestle into the natural Sedona vegetation. PHX Architecture’s design of the residence embodies ‘living architecture.’ The home compliments its surroundings, and the four-pod design connected by bridges not only gives this project a unique design element, but allows for the residence to effectively sit hillside – capturing the one-of-a-kind red rock views that few people get to experience. The 8′ wide gallery with custom linear diffused skylights runs the length of the home and was designed to connect the pods while featuring the homeowner’s art collection.
The homes three bedrooms, living room and dining room all sit on the north side of the gallery allowing for uninterrupted views of the stunning red rocks of Sedona. The service core and secondary spaces are located on the south side of the gallery offering views of the mountain behind the home. Immediately upon entering the home, guests are greeted by a gorgeous 5′ wide x 10′ tall pivot door and views beyond belief.
The zero edge swimming pool is rotated to be cantilevered on Castle Rock, a well-known rock formation in the area. The pool simultaneously turns towards the rest of the home as a water feature that can be viewed from the large covered patios, extending the indoor living space into the outdoors.
