The Heard Museum Shop
We are honored to have partnered with The Heard Museum in downtown Phoenix to reimagine and elevate the design of its renowned museum shop. This renovation enhances the experience of acquiring authentic Native American art while strengthening the shop’s reputation as a premier cultural and retail destination in the Southwest.
Spanning over 8,000 square feet, the transformed space seamlessly blends heritage with sophistication. Visitors are welcomed into an environment that is both immersive and thoughtfully curated, featuring an outdoor sculpture garden, a textile gallery, and a private viewing room, all designed to enhance appreciation for the art on display. The architectural details—barrel ceilings with vigas, hand-carved woodwork, and reclaimed materials—pay homage to traditional craftsmanship, while the solid wood flooring, inlaid with Saltillo tile, preserves the timeless character that defines The Heard Museum.
With a deep respect for the museum’s vision, we remained dedicated to honoring its role as far more than just a retail space. As David M. Roche, Heard Museum Dickey Family Director and CEO, so eloquently stated, The Heard Shop is “a place for visitors and collectors alike to acquire the best of Southwestern Native American creative practices.” Our design reflects that ethos, ensuring that every detail contributes to an atmosphere of authenticity, artistry, and elevated cultural experience.
