We are excited to share with you this North Scottsdale home that was recently completed last Fall. The homeowners moved to Arizona from Chicago, and were looking to build the perfect dream home that offered them indoor/outdoor livability, and an open concept with a contemporary feel. That is exactly what we designed for them – a 4,600 sq. ft home that Erik calls “Rustic Mediterranean” in style. The site that the home sits on presented some challenges, including the fact that the property had to be elevated seven to nine feet. Once changes were made to the site, the gorgeous desert views came to life and the homeowners were awe-struck at what a difference raising the site made on the overall project.

The home was built with natural materials. PHX was joined by the phenomenal general contractor team of Dan Couturier and Kim Klassen. As a design team, they decided to use a mix of stucco and stone with a color and texture that feels very familiar to the desert. The gorgeous interiors were designed by Kim Scodro (who also originates from Chicago) and Elyse Miller. Light tones throughout the home mixed with pops of color make for an inviting, warm vibe that gives the large home a very intimate feel; perfect for entertaining family and friends.
