We are thrilled to share that PHX has been featured in six prominent publications since the start of the year! We also had one project pictured on the Jan/Feb cover of Luxe AZ. Read more about each feature below.

Interiors Magazine | The feature written by Editor-in-Chief, Erika Heet is titled “Desert Majesty,” features a Contemporary estate that we designed and completed last year. The edgy, modern home was designed for a husband and wife with one son. The homeowners tasked PHX with designing a home that modeled the modern type homes you see around LA. The couple, who loves to entertain wanted a home that not only had the space necessary to host large groups of people, but also one that capitalized on the site that the home sits on. Erik Peterson collaborated with the entire design team (Vallone Design, Greey | Pickett and Schultz Development) to create a simple contemporary linear design with floor-to-ceiling glass. The two-story walk out design was intentionally done to fit the home into the hillside, and the linear design allows every rooms to have a spectacular view. The homeowners also wanted the home to pay homage to the incredible artwork collection they have curated, so PHX designed for large wall surfaces so that the artwork and sculptures could be displayed in a way that would not compete with the overall home design. The article features several quotes from Erik, and includes several images including a full two-page spread of the main living room shot, showcasing the incredible Camelback views. This home was designed by Erik Peterson and Creative Director, Stuart Jon Traynor. Interior Design was Donna Vallone with Vallone Design. Builder was John Schultz with Schultz Development and the Landscape Design was Greey | Pickett. We want to thank Erika Heet for the incredible article!

Luxe Magazine – ArizonaThe January/February issue of Luxe AZ was very exciting for our entire firm as we had not just one, but two projects featured including the cover of the magazine. The first home featured was a residence we designed for one of our favorite builder’s personal residence, Anthony and Rebecca Salcito. The home designed in collaboration with the home builders themselves. The piece titled “An Evolutionary Tale” highlights all of the incredible design elements of the Formal Mediterranean Residence. Totaling over 6,000 sq ft. this home exudes luxury. The article highlights the strong friendship between Erik and longtime friend and luxury builder, Anthony Salcito; as well as the challenges of designing “a desert oasis” on a lot that was surrounded closely by other homes. The trick, “We put the cabana on the back of the axis and designed it in a substantial enough size that the entire backyard is private.” The piece also describes the different European-inspired elements of the home as well as the soothing color palette.

This issue also includes a 10-page spread on another one of our contemporary projects, entitled, “Complex Geometry.” PHX designed the home for a retired couple that was looking to make new memories in a new custom built home. When the homeowners were looking to build, they had their sights set on a home that embodies the desert landscape they learned to love, since relocating from Minnesota. Enamored by the Frank Lloyd Wright style of Architecture, they knew Erik and PHX were the perfect fit for their dream home. The entire design team consisted of PHX, Holly Wright – Interior Designer, and Stephanie Fox – Platinum Homes. The article highlights Erik’s vision for the home including an “angular geometry that made for a dramatic impact and allowed for expansive views.” Erik made sure to orient the home so that the homeowners could have the best view for sun and the city lights. The article does an incredible job at outlining the perfect design collaboration between Erik and Holly Wright including the unique way that the rooms “intersect” with one another.

The Summit Club at Tulsa has long been a favorite of Tulsa’s elite. Now PHX alongside Club Design Associates and Eli Huff with SFG Consulting have been tasked with adding a more formal, energy-filled vibe to the Club’s already popular offerings.
