In Design: Lodge Bread Company – Bringing Full Proof Pizza to Beverly Hills and Brentwood

Introducing our new restaurant project –Full Proof Pizza in collaboration with Lodge Bread Company. Lodge Bread Company is not new to PHX as our staff over in our Beverly Hills office have been enjoying their artisan sourdough bread, coffee and their food options on a daily basis since our team member Jared Lanctot discovered it when it opened in 2015. Fast-forward to today Lodge Bread Company approached our firm to design their new, throwback restaurant – Full Proof Pizza, a restaurant concept founded on a desire to create an eatery that embodied throwback 1980’s pop culture, and that serves naturally fermented New York city pizzas. They are opening multiple locations, and hired PHX to design both.

Our design inspiration is centered around the concept of creating childhood nostalgia – including arcades, games – reminiscent of shows like Saved by the Bell, Stranger Things, Tron Legacy, etc. The timelines are moving fast at construction started on both the Beverly Hills and Brentwood locations, with an opening planned for end of 2021 or start of 2022.

Unique design features include all custom furniture, local specialized steel fabricators provided by Maya Steel. The majority of the custom designs will be fabricated by the Maya Steel shop and assembled on site at both restaurant locations. We are also collaborating with OneOne77 Creative Studios, neon signage designers local to the area, as well as Typography Designers – Superlative Signs.
