Located in the highly sought-after community of DC Ranch, this residence boasts impressive views of the 17th fairway and the sweeping scenery of the McDowell Mountains. Initially, having designed this residence over ten years ago but never fully encompassing Erik’s vision for the property, the recent owners, knowing Erik and the PHX Architecture standard, reached out, hoping to fully realize the home’s potential. Working closely with Laura Kehoe Design, we decided to keep the stunning mountain views as the focus of the property, opting for a more neutral, earthy interior. Dark brown wood frames the windows, blending the exterior greenery and the interior tan and white finishes.

Touches of gold embellish the home, hinting at subtle elegance, while expert stonework climbs up the kitchen walls, bringing the outside in. An impressive and attention-grabbing, floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace brings the viewer’s eye up to the Frank-Lloyd Wright-inspired custom clerestory cutouts, bringing in soft natural light throughout the day. The primary bathroom hosts a dramatic marble and glass dual shower, while an understated, off-the-master office space provides a quiet and private space for the homeowner to settle and enjoy a moment of peace. From the main living area, fully retractable doors open to a private view of the DC Ranch Golf course, where the same stone used in the interiors frames a secluded back terrace. An infinity edge pool and spa open up to the exclusive DC Ranch golf course, with ample seating for outdoor entertainment and late-night conversation. This home is the result of a collaborative vision, thoughtful design, and a deep respect for its surroundings – a refined yet comfortable retreat that feels effortlessly at home in its setting.
