Team: Alan Roberts

We’re excited to welcome Alan Roberts to our team! Alan brings a wealth of experience and fresh perspective, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have him on board.

Alan, a native Arizonan, earned his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Arizona before gaining two decades of professional experience. His passion for sustainability led him back to design school, where he earned a Master of Architecture with a focus on water harvesting and conservation.

With over 30 years in the field, Alan has worn many hats—spending a decade leading his own firm and working with various architectural firms in Arizona and Nevada. He also dedicated five years as department chair at the Southwest University of Visual Arts, where he taught architecture, interior design, and landscape architecture, developed curricula, and led a professional development program, “Teach the Teachers.”

Before joining PHX, Alan spent eight years at Arizona State University in the Office of the University Architect, contributing to conceptual design and visualization for large institutional projects.

Beyond architecture, Alan stays active with golf, tennis, and martial arts, embracing a well-rounded approach to both work and life.
