We are excited to share this newly completed custom home with you all! This contemporary home sits in the Desert Highlands neighborhood of North Scottsdale, Arizona. Right at the base of one of the mountain peaks, the home has spectacular desert views which was one of the main inspirations for our design on the project.
Stuart Jon Traynor, Creative Director |“When our Clients approached us to design their home it was very clear from the start that they were looking for a sophisticated contemporary space that offered the comforts of home, both relaxing and entertaining. The site affords amazing views which we responded to. The idea of ‘wall’ we used to define the entry and spaces beyond, it enabled a journey through the home, discovering views, whether it be a mountain or a simple cactus, courtyards, light, water and fire are all experiences that one encounters along the way. The main living space with high ceilings that transcend into outdoor living set up inviting angles with the pool and patio spaces. We worked closely with the interior designer for materials, textures and colors that blend seamlessly from inside to outside. The Clients had a vision and we were fortunate enough to bring their vision to life.”
A total of 6,300 sq. ft of livable space the home includes three guest bedrooms (one of which is used as the homeowner’s collectibles room), a master suite which is complete with gorgeous mountain views and a gas fireplace and large his and her bathroom. The floor plan is very open which is perfect for entertaining and the the backyard has three gas fire pits, a large pool, hot tub and plenty of lounging space. One of our favorite design aspects of the home is that several of the windows are long and vertical to showcase the tall saguaro cacti right outside the home.
