Phoenix Home & Garden

We have been anxiously awaiting this feature all year! Photographed back in February of last year, we knew this home would be editorial worthy! Homeowners Larry and Sherrod Deputy have been an absolute dream to work with, and we are elated that their home had the chance to be featured. The article entitled, “On Solid Ground” details the lot selection process, Larry and Sherrod’s Midwest roots, their love of travel and family and their entire home design process from start to finish. This “modern take on a Spanish colonial home” was designed in collaboration with a dream team of designers including Caroline Descares and Monterra Builders.

California Homes 

Securing an editorial feature in California Homes has been a long dream of PHX. This national magazine is top tier and we were absolutely thrilled when they told us they were introducing a “Summer Retreats” edition into their editorial calendar this year. We immediately thought of the Phillips residence, located in North Scottsdale. Originally hailing from Northern California this piece fittingly titled, “Arizona Retreat” chronicles the Phillips decision to seek serenity in the desert and their decision to build a custom home with the help of Erik, PHX and a lineup of incredible designers including Luster Custom Homes and Misty Cowan Interior Design. Written by Candace Manroe and photographed by John Woodcock, the home was shot specifically to be featured in this magazine. The article does an incredible job at capturing the essence of the home – describing in detail the “stucco palette”, unbelievable views, rustic terrain and “deco-evocative” aesthetic.

The magazine can be found nationally at any Barnes & Noble or in stores/airports all over California. Huge thank you to the Phillips family for allowing their home to be shared, it was a sincere pleasure helping make their Arizona retreat into a reality.

Luxe Magazine AZ 

Luxe has been incredibly good to PHX this year! With this being the fourth feature in 2020. This time they decided to feature one of our recently completed modern homes in Desert Mountain. The spread entitled, “The Five Elements” by Mikki Brammer and photographed by John Woodcock details how PHX alongside Stephanie Fox with Platinum Homes and Interior Designer Holly Wright designed a desert home full of “island living influences.” The reason for the influence was to pay tribute to the homeowners’ second home in Hawaii. The very successful couple wanted an escape that was convenient to get to but also offered a quiet sanctuary that a home in Desert Mountain offers. The article highlights Erik’s vision for the home, which was to provide as much connection to nature as possible. This was made possible by designing the home with “soaring ceilings and full-height windows.” The home, which has a gorgeous exterior also gives a nod to the surroundings due to the natural desert color palette and use of local materials.

We are so excited to see this home in print and can’t thank Luxe Magazine, Pamela Jaccarino, Shannon Sharpe and Adrienne Honig enough for their generosity over the years.
