On September 12, 2025, Ron Skoog, our Principal, had the pleasure of attending a groundbreaking ceremony at one of our projects, Echo Community Center at Teravalis by Howard Hughes, in Buckeye, AZ.
The ceremony lasted a couple of hours and was held directly at the project site, creating a meaningful connection between the event and the future development. Several community and organizational leaders took to the podium to share inspiring remarks about the vision behind the design and the positive impact it is expected to have on the surrounding area. Their speeches highlighted themes of innovation, collaboration, and long-term community enrichment.
Following the formal addresses, representatives from various stakeholder groups gathered for the symbolic groundbreaking moment. Equipped with gleaming gold shovels, they lined up in front of the cameras and ceremoniously dug into the earth for the first time—marking the official launch of the project and a new chapter for the community.
Teravalis is designed with innovation, sustainability, and community at its core. Set to become the state’s largest master-planned community, it will feature up to 100,000 homes and welcome more than 300,000 residents. In collaboration with the nation’s top homebuilders and guided by forward-thinking design, Teravalis redefines what it means to create a community of the future
