Please help us officially welcome Jared Lanctot and Ryan Dayag to the PHX family. Both join us over in our Beverly Hills office, and will be working and collaborating on projects with the Scottsdale office team. Some of you might have already met them as in their short time at PHX, they have already been actively involved in events, golf tournaments and client meetings. Find out more about them below!

Jared Lanctot – Design Director/Senior Architect, Beverly Hills Office

Jared Lanctot is a licensed California Architect with a decade of experience in architecture, construction and planning. During his tenure in California, he has led numerous projects at a variety of scales. Jared’s work portrays an engagement that exposes complexities inherent in all designs, no matter size or scale; from small additions to large mixed-use and commercial projects.

Jared was born in Rochester, New York. He has an undergraduate degree from SUNY Buffalo with a Bachelor’s of Science and a Masters of Architecture degree from University of Michigan. During his studies, Jared additionally trained and spent time in Japan. His focus was in Tokyo, where he explored spatial conditions situated around extreme density.

Jared relocated to Los Angeles at the conclusion of graduate school and joined the PHX Architecture team. As Design Director, he leads the design oversight of  the Beverly Hills office while engaging with Erik Peterson to develop early design concepts for all typologies in the studio. Additionally, as Senior Architect, Jared is responsible for holding close relationships with our clients, staff and building department while overseeing the permit process.

Outside of the studio, and when not playing ice hockey, Jared is an avid golfer who competes in amateur Southern California Golf Championships. He leads most of our PHX golf teams at local CMAA GSC and Golf related events.

Ryan Dayag – Architectural Associate III, Beverly Hills Office

Ryan joined us back in late May, right after Jared. He joins us from Ferrier Architecture where he worked as a Project Design Lead and Project Manager for almost a decade. During his tenure at Ferrier he had the distinct honor to have won an AIA LA Residential Architecture Citation Award for one of his residential designs.

Ryan joins PHX with a variety of design experience. He will be working mostly with Jared Lanctot and Michel DesBarres (Architect II) in the Beverly Hills office, as well as several of our Project Managers located in our Scottsdale office. With his extensive project experience – we are excited that he will be one of the few team members that work on both the hospitality team and residential teams. In addition to his passion for design and architecture, Ryan also brings with him an incredible culinary prowess. Having attended culinary school prior to getting his degree in design from California Polytechnic University – Pomona. Ryan credits his career in design to his high school CAD teacher who really nurtured his design bug with the freedom to explore design; as well as the use of technology to achieve his design goals. Additionally – Ryan’s inspiration comes from as he says “everything” – having realized that everything and anything can be an inspiration.  However, people he specifically draws inspiration from are architects like Tadao Ando, Richard Meier, Renzo Piano, Jacques Herzog and Pierre De Meuron.

Ryan is currently working on several of the firm’s high profile projects including two residences in California, and a large scale hospitality project.
