Ron Skoog



Ron is a licensed Archi­tect Ari­zona and Nebraska. He is a LEED-​Accredited Pro­fes­sional, and cur­rently pre­sides as the Scotts­dale and North­east Val­ley Sec­tion Leader for the Amer­i­can Insti­tute of Architects.

Ron joined PHX Archi­tec­ture in 2015. As a Prin­ci­pal, Ron leads the Com­mer­cial projects group, with an empha­sis on Hos­pi­tal­ity, Restau­rant, Club­house, Com­mer­cial and Ten­ant Improve­ment projects. His out­go­ing per­son­al­ity allows Ron to work well with clients, lead project teams and effec­tively man­age project flow. In his time with PHX, he has been instru­men­tal in sev­eral of our recent com­mer­cial projects, includ­ing The Scotts­dale Resort at McCormick Ranch, the Stone Canyon Golf Club­house, the Sum­mer­lin Aquatic Cen­ter and the Assump­tion Fel­low­ship Hall.

Prior to join­ing PHX, Ron worked exten­sively with clients such as JW Mar­riott and Fair­mont to deliver major ren­o­va­tions for lux­ury hotel prop­er­ties in Ari­zona, Cal­i­for­nia, New York and Mex­ico City. Past expe­ri­ence also includes Com­mer­cial offices, Retail, Bank­ing, and Libraries.

Out­side the stu­dio, Ron is an avid run­ner and cyclist, com­plet­ing sev­eral full– and half-​marathons. He is also an accom­plished musi­cian. While his musi­cal back­ground includes mul­ti­ple gen­res, he often per­forms live as a drummer/​percussionist with a jazz ensemble.
