Paul Martinez joined our PHX family Summer 2019 and an Architectural Associate III. Paul holds an Associate’s Degree in Applied Sciences from Phoenix College, but his industry knowledge started at a young age while employed with the family construction company during school breaks. His understanding of wood, masonry and concrete construction is a byproduct of his formative years with the family business. At Phoenix College the curriculum was heavily biased on architecture and computer aided design.
Paul has 28 years of experience in the Architectural and Planning industry. Having worked for award winning architectural firms and an International Engineering company, Paul has continued to further his experience in the design industry. Experienced on both the residential and commercial sides of architecture, Paul has also had experience with industrial construction. He also spent 10 years employed at a Native American Government where he was recognized and received a certificate of excellence for his 3-dimensional design model of a Professional Baseball Stadium to be built within the boundaries of the Sovereign Nation. Paul also co-designed elderly and handicapped housing for a program that was designed to meet the needs of this specific demographic within the community. The main focus was to design quality homes while conforming to the American Disability Act of 1990.
Outside of work, Paul is an avid cyclist and has used the sport of cycling through his 5 years of volunteer service on the planning committee for the Tour De Cure. The Tour De Cure is charitable ride that raises money for the American Diabetes Association.
