Morgan Estes

Architect I

Morgan is an Associate member of the American Institute of Architects. Originally from the northwest suburbs of Chicago, Morgan earned Bachelor degrees in both Architecture and Interior Architecture in 2013 from Auburn University. During that time, she also studied abroad in Istanbul, Turkey where she was exposed to a new culture and architectural style.

For her thesis project and years following graduation, Morgan was with Auburn’s Rural Studio, a design/build program in Newbern, Alabama. There, she and three of her classmates converted a brick bank built in 1906 into a community library by renovating the existing structure and building an addition. The students are challenged with both the design and also the physical construction of the project. The program required Morgan and her teammates to understand the role of a modern library in a small town, work with the community and client to form a program, design a space to achieve those goals, and work efficiently with materials to stay within a given budget.

Morgan joined our team at PHX Architecture following the completion of her thesis in 2015. In her role as an Associate, Morgan works with Project Managers and senior staff in a variety of capacities, from advancing design concepts and graphic presentations, to assisting in the preparation of construction documents for plan review, approvals and building construction.

In her spare time, Morgan enjoys hiking, golf, and spending time outdoors.
