This week at PHX we kicked off our 6th Annual Architecture Summer Camp! It’s off too a great start! So far the students have learned the basics of 2D drawing, the Sketchup program, Revit software, Adobe Photoshop, and site selection. Students are also in the process of starting their first design project. Remember those real life ‘Legos’ we talked about a few months ago? Well, the goal of this project that our students are working on is to use the skills and technologies they are learning to design a feasible structure that could be built out of those real life ‘legos’ (aka: shipping containers). Thank you to the Alexander Group for donating laptops for our students to borrow and also to Salcito Custom Homes for helping to sponsor the camp. Stay tuned for future updates.
