Now open! Fractured Prune, the infamous doughnut shop originating in Ocean City, Maryland is expanding their locations- including a new one in the US Airways Center! The project was headed by PHX Architecture’s own Maurita Walker, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, and Salcito Construction. On October 29that the first Phoenix Suns home game, the shop opened and people were lined up anxiously awaiting to purchase the tasty morsels. Curious about the name? We were too!  The name has a rich history behind it…
According to legend, Fractured Prune Doughnuts is named after Prunella Shriek, who is known by  “Fractured Prunella” after breaking bones while competing athletically.  Now you know! Stay tuned for more locations to come and of course, more doughnuts!
