Our 9th Annual Architecture Summer Camp wrapped up last month with some amazing presentations from our teens. Our campers attended two weeks of courses taught by staff members and consultants and also visited job sites, Taliesin, our friends at CyberTech, and a newly completed home. They then applied what they learned to a final project.
For their final projects, our students were tasked with creating a sustainable bus stop which also had the element of being a homeless shelter. Students then presented their designs in front of staff and family members. We discussed location of the shelter, materials used, and their motivation behind their designs and then opened the floor for questions and comments. The PHX staff was truly impressed with the presentations and all could be adapted in Phoenix!
Good luck to our future Architects Claire, Keaton, and Charles!
