Michael joins our PHX team in 2019. Michael is a registered Architect in California and Wisconsin, holds an NCARB certificate, and is active in the AIA. Since joining our firm, located in our Beverly Hills office, Michael has worked on many of our high-profile CA projects including private clubs/resorts, hotels, and luxury residences. Michael brings over a decade of architectural experience to PHX including a wide variety of residential and hospitality projects, including high-end custom homes, retail, tenant improvements, and restaurants. Serving as both a team leader and as support, Michael has worked on projects in Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Venice, Malibu, West Hollywood, & Beverly Hills.
Prior to joining PHX, Michael served as a Project Architect for Walker Workshop Design Build, and as a Senior Project Manager for Ryder Design & Architecture – boutique firms based in Los Angeles.
Originally from the Midwest and raised in Madison, WI, Michael earned his Bachelor’s in Geography from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. From 1999-2005 Michael apprenticed with Architect Bruce Severson at Architectural Arts, Ltd., fabricating museum quality architectural models for architects, developers, and museums. In 2008 he earned his Master’s in Architecture degree with honors from Taliesin, the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture. He served as faculty, core faculty and as an administrator for Taliesin, the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture, from 2008-2016 while simultaneously operating a small architecture and design firm.
Michael loves to partner his experience and passion for Architecture with that of the amazing team at PHX, to best serve PHX clients and their projects in California and beyond.
