Kim Smith

Kim Smith joined our PHX in 2017. An incredible leader and project manager, Kim works as our PHX Residential Studio Lead, as well as a Design Professional III. Originally from Ohio, Kim went to Miami University for her Bachelor’s in Environmental Design. She then moved to Arizona where she graduated from Arizona State University with a Master’s in Architecture.

Kim worked at Taliesin Architects while in school, which is where she first met Erik Peterson. She then worked full-time at H&S International with Bing Hu for about 10 years before making the decision to stay home to raise her children. During this time, she worked on her own doing small remodel and addition jobs. Kim is also an Architectural Consultant for several Design Review communities around the valley.

In her role, Kim works closely with Erik Peterson and the entire Residential design team on many of our luxury residential projects located throughout the Scottsdale and Paradise Valley areas. Some of her most notable residences include the Silverleaf Splendor Spec, the Hideaway, the Kay Residence, The Ghiz Residence, the Casa Blanca Spec Residence, the Newport, Moonlight Way, Whisper Rock Villas and Cholla Spec Residences.

Outside of work, Kim enjoys reading, traveling, spending time with her family and creating art. She is also a proud mother of two teenage daughters.
