Jochen N. Walther joined our PHX team in Fall 2020. He has over two decades of combined experiences working in construction and architecture, specifically on luxury residential and hospitality projects. We would describe Jochen as very passionate for design, communications, and he is never afraid of a challenge.

Prior to PHX, Jochen was a project manager for a local, luxury design firm and prior to that he worked on hospitality projects with CCBG Architects for 4 years where he was also a social media manager. He previously worked for PHX (then Peterson) Architecture in 2004, for 5 years. During that time Jochen was a Senior Project Manager, working on luxury residential projects throughout Arizona, Hawaii, and California.

Jochen’s design inspiration comes from the works of Frank Lloyd Wright and Santiago Calatrava. He is specifically drawn to Contemporary and Mediterranean design. He has worked on many projects for PHX on both the residential and hospitality teams of our firm. Projects include several custom residences here in Scottsdale, Seven Canyons Townhomes and single-family residences in Sedona, as well as a Pickleball Building in Utah.

Originally from Germany, Jochen attended University there before moving out to Arizona to attend the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture in Scottsdale. Fun fact about Jochen is that he is fluent in three languages – English, French, and German.

Outside of work, Jochen is passionate about architectural photography, model building, and learning new skills.
